Zink Magazine - A few out-takes and behind the scenes shots from the ‘My Crowd’ editorial I shot for Zink Magazine out later this month. The idea was to take local taste-makers here in NYC (djs, bloggers, artists, models, directors, actors, LES socialites, etc…) and shoot them all at a New Years party together. …So obviously I just had a party at my studio and invited all 35 of them over. Actually we had to stagger them in two groups because my studio just can’t handle 35 people for very long. I think it was hardest on the styling team and my assistants who had to maneuver lights and equipment in a cramped space. But a photographer expected to create that type vibe, I’ve gotta say, if it were much less crowded in the studio, it would have been more difficult to keep the energy going. We had a little overlap for an hour in the afternoon so we could get some images of everyone going ape-shit together and what da’ya know, it worked. Don’t think my neighbors were too happy that night though.
Thanks to Ni’ma Ford extraordinaire and her styling/production/everything else team; would never have managed without you : )
